Welcome!
If you’ve stumbled upon this blog, you’re probably hungry, bored or currently sitting in a med school class and looking at pictures of food seems more appetizing than looking at pictures of Thromboangiitis obliterans (Quick little PSA…this is one reason why you shouldn’t smoke). Regardless of the reason, welcome to Braised Anatomy – your ironically named, non-cannibalistic guide to cooking in medical school and residency! We created this blog as a means of sharing our favorite recipes with fellow foodniks.
A little about us…we are both interns (Anita in Orthopedics and Ari in General Surgery), but were once medical students attending Case Western Reserve University. We lived in The Cleve for 8 years and were roommates in Little Italy for 3 (the home of the once… and possibly current… largest mafia organization between New York and Chicago). Despite the (at times) overwhelming workload of CWRU’s MD/MS program and now residency, we share a love of cooking and are excited to share this with all of you! So sit back, relax, and get ready to salivate.
