That sounds fantastic!!! I'm going to try that really soon....maybe I'll even try it on ground turkey (that tends to agree more with my stomach :P).

Hey Ari! Super creative with the lentils - I was afraid I would see the faux ground beef soy flakes. Hooray for real food!
I make sloppy joes occasionally, and I use a homemade grill seasoning with onion powder, garlic powder, coriander, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (all equal amounts except the red pepper - but I know you like spicy). A tablespoon of that, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a tablespoon or Worcestershire sauce, and an 8 oz can of tomato sauce. Simmer with the ground meat (or protein of your choice) and sauteed bell pepper and onion. Tastes just like the Manwich sauce from the can!

Your estimate about the age where impact of ones previous choices is initially felt is absolutely on the mark. But then when one is sixty you look at 50s wistfully and so on each decade that follows. All the same my advice to 20+ yr olds: Take care of yourself but don't forget to enjoy your youth.

This looks very similar to the cheesecake I make! Except I'm super lazy and use pre-made crust AND pre-made preserves, hehe.

Wow! I'm impressed with your first try at these. I love mankig them, too. They are also fun to stack in a tower and drizzle with something sweet like real maple syrup or cherries in a syrup. Great job. Nice presentation!
